Course Description: This class is only offered fall semester.
The Bible is far from being a dry, boring book that is filled with rules and regulations meant to suck all the fun out of life. The Bible is filled stories that can be described as adventuress, thrilling, romantic, dramatic and engaging. There are also many genres including historical, poetry, parables, wisdom and others. The goal of this class is to not only get you to read your Bible but to help you find it interesting and easer to understand.
Supplies needed for this course:
Your Bible, notebook, writing utensil, folder and an attitude eager to learn.

Attendance 20%
Readings & Participation 20%
Papers each 15% equals 30%
Tests each 15% equals 30%
Grading scale
100-90% Excellent
89-80% Very Good
79-70% Good
69-60% Fair
59%- Poor

Attendance and class participation.
- Weekly readings which will be posted on my blog
- Two Papers details will be posted on my blog.
- Mid-term and final.
Class Outline
Week 1: Into. to the Bible: What it is and what it isn’t.
Weeks 2 & 3. Can the Bible be read from beginning to end? The story of God.
Mid term paper assignment given
Weeks 4 & 5. Adventure Stories (Abraham, Moses, David, and Paul)
Weeks 6 & 7. Romance (Ruth, Ester, Mary and Joseph)
Week 8. Mid Term/Paper due
Weeks 9 & 10. History (In the beginning…, 1 & 2 Chronicles)
Weeks 11 & 12. Murder Mystery (Jael and the tent peg, Uriah.)
Final paper assignment given
Weeks 13 &14. Conspiracy (The trial of Jesus)
Week 15. Poetry
Week 16. Wisdom Books
Paper due
Week 17. Final
