Course Description This course will explore the history of clowning, the roles of clowns, types of clowns, clown etiquette and clown technique. We will have several performance as a class and for a larger audience. Traditional makeup will be used and Will be purchased be the student to take home at the end of the semester. Costumes, wigs, hats and props will be implemented. Balloon animals and face painting will be done time permitting.
Supplies Needed Notebook writing tool. Any wacky unwanted clothing, hats, wigs, caps or such items for the “clown collection”!
Grading Information
Teacher Rationale Participation is a must! Bravery courage and audacity is rewarded! Brazenness appropriate is the correct situations!
Grading Scale Focused heavily on participation.

Class Assignment Schedule TBD Will include character development, the story of how each clown came to be, and written skit development.
