Assignments
Students will work with the Mavis Beacon Typing software. Each student needs to spend 1-2 hours per week working on keyboarding at home. In class they must do a lesson each week and show the instructor the score so progress can be tracked. We will being to use Word and type various papers and learn to use the formatting option, tools, and inserting objects. We will learn the basic set-up of a database and how to format using Excel. We will give each student a form to fill out that lists 10 events from their life experiences. Students will draw a picture on the computer and write a brief description of each event. The will write a brief autobiography. They will put together a database with information from other classmates.
